You want to be a Nanny?!

Hi, welcome to my blog. This is something totally new to me, so bear with me as I begin this journey. In this blog, I will share some of my experiences as a nanny, share some of my favorite recipes and activities, and share a lot about my personal life.
I guess I will use this first post to explain a little bit about how I became a Nanny.
Right after high school, I remember sitting in front of the computer wondering what I was going to do with my life. Can I really be done with high school? Were "the best days of my life" really over? I remember asking myself, nearly hour, minute, and second, NOW WHAT? I perused college websites, job listings, and many other things trying to find the one thing that called out to me. I stumbled upon Care.com and quickly began looking through the listings. In my mind, I went through my personal history of childcare and wondered if this was something I could do. I had been a babysitter since the young age of 13. As an only child, I was constantly looking for a way to feel like I had siblings, and babysitting seemed like the best way. I cared for many children of all ages, and it was really something I enjoyed. For days, I looked through the listings, applying to almost every position that seemed to be a great fit at the time. Yes, they all seemed like a great fit at the time. Caring for 4 kids under 5? Sure, why not? Childcare, housekeeping and errands? Who could say no? Working 50-60 hours a week? Well, it's a job, Right? I went to about 6 interviews before I finally found the job of my dreams, or so I thought. Since then, I have been what most call a Nanny! My parents think I am crazy, my friends think I am crazy, and even strangers are constantly surprised by my choice of a career.Yes, I am young, but I love this field and wouldn't have changed anything. I get to spend my days doing what I love, caring for children, and the best part is being paid for it. I spend my days outside, doing crafts, singing songs, exploring the world around me. Why would I have it any other way?!
How did you guys start out as a nanny?
